Today, another formal ceremony of presenting apartment keys to large families of employees of Kazakhmys Group Enterprises was held in Zhezkazgan.
It has already become a good tradition for Kazakhmys to provide with apartments large families. Last year, the executive management granted 10 apartments to employees’ families with four and more children. This year, new four- and five-room apartments as well as one detached house have already been allocated to 102 families. And there is more to come. In total, 133 families of employees of Kazakhmys Group Enterprises in the cities of Zhezkazagan and Satpayev as well as those living in Karaganda and Balkhash regions will celebrate a housewarming this year.
Among the happy new inhabitants is the Syzdykov family. The head of the family, Kuanysh Syzdykov, has been working at Kazakhmys for 26 years. He has been working as a bunker operator at West mine, Zhezkazgantsvetmet PA, for 12 out of 26 years. The couple is raising five children. The miner says that becoming an apartment owner came as a complete surprise to him.
“Until yesterday, I did not know that the company would present us an apartment. This news came as a huge surprise to me. To say I was surprised would be an understatement. Before, we lived with my parents, there was not enough space for all of us. And now, thanks to the executive management of Kazakhmys, we have a four-room apartment with all amenities: renovation, furniture and household appliances. Many thanks to Kazakhmys for such a generous gift!”, Kuanysh Syzdykov said.
The program for housing provision to employees with large families is executed within the framework of the concluded tripartite memorandum on development of social responsibility of business, signed between the senior executives of Kazakhmys Holding LLC, the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population of the Republic of Kazakhstan and Akimat of Karaganda region.
Apartment keys were presented by Adilet N. Barmenkulov, Deputy Chairman of the Management Board, Kazakhmys Corporation LLC, and Bakhtiyar A. Krykpyshev, Director for Development, Kazakhmys Corporation LLC.
“We have set the task to assist our employees amid difficult times and to provide comprehensive support. Our company has always been, is and will be socially responsible. And today I want to congratulate all of you on your new home and wish good health, happiness and prosperity to your families.”, Bakhtiyar A. Krykpyshev said congratulating new inhabitants.
In the future, the executive management undertakes to continue providing social support to employees belonging to socially vulnerable groups of population, including low-income families and large families.
