The meeting of the first Deputy Chairman of the Board of the Kazakhmys Corporation Andrey Gaidin with the veterans of the production of the cities of Zhezkazgan and Satpayev on April 12 began with the laying of flowers at the monument of Kanysh Satpayev in the mining capital.
Paying tribute to the memory of the great scientist who developed the metallogenic forecast map, and today is in demand by Kazakhmys geologists, the round table discussion in the Miners ' Recreation Center continued with the discussion of topical issues. Mayor of the city of Satpayev Askar Idrissov thanked the management of the corporation "Kazakhmys" for mutual cooperation in the development of the mining city, joint efforts to create comfortable living conditions for the citizens. Last year, complicated by the pandemic, the corporation provided a great deal of assistance in providing the necessary medical equipment, the company bought 12 apartments for doctors who arrived for work. Within the framework of the program of sustainable socio-economic development, a kindergarten for 140 places was built, and further development of the city infrastructure is planned within the framework of the memorandum between the akim of the region and the corporation.
Andrey Gaidin spoke about the ongoing projects to extend the working capacity of the Zhezkazgan field, emphasizing that the development of production is impossible without strengthening the social component of the life of the region's workers. This includes the creation of a food belt, the introduction of foreign medical experience with the assistance of the corporation, which will contribute to bringing the two cities ' healthcare to a new level, the program for the construction of kindergartens and a child development center, and so on.
The proposals of the veterans were aimed at further participation of the corporation in the improvement of cities, solving such problems of their life as drinking water, providing heat, developing their own production facilities and others, and the veterans also petitioned for expanding the list of benefits received and the list of recipients.
All their requests, Andrey Gaidin assured, are taken under control.
