Purpose and aims of project:
SMART IC Nurkazgan is designed for effective automated management, in real-time operation process; processing and enrichment of ore raw materials, production of copper concentrate, as well as solving problems of planning, monitoring, accounting, analysis and the company management.
Intelligent industrial complex consists of high-tech units (mining, processing and auxiliary), managed in an automated and automatic modes, providing the highest performance and quality of products, regardless of changing internal and external conditions and providing controlled and secure environment.
The objective is obtained through the creation of an integrated system with the consequent expansion of existing Automatic process control system with new functions in purpose to ensure the maximum efficiency of the complex work.
The introduction of a single automated control system of Industrial Complex Nurkazgan is aimed at following indicators achievement:
- Safety improving on Nurkazgan Mine and Concentrator, by minimizing of human presence through technological processes. Target: Zero fatalities per year;
- Increasing efficiency of complex work of main technological and business processes, through the implementation of automatic system of management and automated system. Target: to increase the capacity of the mine and concentrator; to reduce the production self-price;
- Creating of "green" complex, due to the use of environmentally friendly solutions and technologies. Target: improvement of energy efficiency, reduction of emissions of CO2, waste reduction, providing of favorable working conditions for the staff.
Information about the enterprise:
The industrial complex includes Nurkazgan Mine and Concentrator. The mine is located at 6 km from Temirtau town in Karaganda region, Republic of Kazakhstan. The mine was put into commission in 2006 and has been developing currently. Mined product is copper-bearing ore.
Currently the production volume of mined ore equals to 3,5 million tons per year, but it is planned to increase the mining volume to 4 million tones. Number of personnel is about 700 employees. The mine uses shift schedule of working: 3 shifts for 8 hours.
The Nurkazgan Concentrator is located in Telmanov region of Karaganda region, 10 km to the north of Temirtau town and 8 km to south- west of Myrza station. The powerline PTL -35 kV was run to the Nurkazgan site, asphalt road (4 km) and industrial railway from Myrza station.
